AI Processing and International Transfers
Jobsucher builds CVs and reads vacancies with the help of artificial-intelligence models run by outside providers. This page explains exactly what that involves, so that your consent is informed. It is separate from the Terms and the Privacy Notice, and you can withdraw it at any time.
What you are consenting to
You consent to Jobsucher sending the following to AI and language-model providers, and to those providers processing it, whenever you use a feature that needs it (for example "Generate CV", pasting a vacancy, or "LinkedIn import"):
- the vacancy you are working with: its text, title, company, location, skills and other details;
- the parts of your professional profile that a CV needs: work experience (titles, employers, dates, responsibilities), work cases, skills, languages and levels, education, and the names and issuers of certificates;
- everything you wrote in those fields, exactly as you wrote it.
What is not sent: your name, email address, phone number, and LinkedIn and GitHub links. They are added to the CV on our own servers afterwards. Items you have marked as confidential (NDA) are sent under a neutral label instead of the real employer or client name.
Who and where
The providers are AI and language-model providers. The one we use today is named in the recipients register, together with where it operates. Providers can be outside the European Economic Area, in particular in the United States, where data protection law differs from the EU's, the level of protection may not be equivalent, and public authorities may in some circumstances be able to access data. Because of this, we ask for your explicit consent to the transfer (GDPR Art. 49(1)(a)).
If we add or replace a provider that does the same job under the same conditions, we update the register. If a change would send your data somewhere materially different or for something other than what is described here, we will ask you again.
How the data is handled
- The data is used only to produce the result you asked for. We do not use it to train AI models, and we do not authorise providers to.
- Each request asks the provider not to store the response object. Providers may still keep technical copies for a limited time for abuse monitoring, under their own terms.
- We keep the prompts and answers for a short time (up to 90 days) to diagnose problems; the generated CV stays with your CV.
Sensitive information
You decide what goes in your profile. Please do not enter information about health, religion, political opinions, trade-union membership, ethnic origin, sexual orientation, biometric or genetic data, or criminal convictions unless you truly want it there. If you do enter such information, you explicitly consent to it being processed, and sent to the AI provider, as part of the features above (GDPR Art. 9(2)(a)). You can remove it from your profile at any time.
Accuracy
AI output can be wrong. It is a draft: check every generated CV before you use it. You stay responsible for what you send to an employer.
Why this consent is required
AI processing is how Jobsucher's core features work. We cannot provide them without it, so this consent is a condition of using Jobsucher. If you do not consent, we cannot provide the service to you.
Withdrawing
You can withdraw this consent at any time under Privacy & consents in the application. Withdrawing it does not affect anything done before, and means you can no longer use features that need AI until you agree again. To have your data erased, contact us as described in the Privacy Notice.
